New Website - New People

Chapelgate Children's Ministry - aka Chapelgate Kids - is taking part in the new version of Chapelgate PCA's websites. Using blogs to communicate information, past events, and other ministries, we are able to be more uptodate than before. Each ministry will have control over their blog, thus providing you, whether we know you or not, with the most pertinent information needed.

The first thing to communicate to you is our new Children Ministry Director - Debby Sutton. Debby comes to us from Florida. Growing up in South Florida, college at the University of Florida, and graduate school at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL she has spent her life in the sunny, constant summer like weather of the Sunshine State. But, she is willing to take on the cold and the rolling hills all because she loves kids. Debby previously worked at Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland, FL. She loves to bake, read, watch movies, find new places to visit, and especially to laugh. Her main focus of life is to make sure all around her know who God is -- and that he loves us more than we can ever dream!

Let's welcome Debby to our adventures here in Maryland!

The second thing to let you know about is that we had a great time at Camp Olympion this summer! Over 350 kids came to hear about running the Race of Faith as they studied the life of Joshua. He was wholeheartedly following God throughout his life through obedience and faith. And Joshua's life points us to know the One with perfect obedience: Jesus.

Campers learned new games, made awesome crafts, had fantastic snacks (have you had your Salvation Sundae?!), and learned 3 songs to sing at the closing program and in church on Sunday. They also helped create 10 meals for needy families in the community. Kids also got to see the love of God in action through the lifes of their counselors and coaches. And they heard the amazing reality that God's grace is big enough to help them through the struggles of faith.

Next year is sure to be just as exciting and full of new things to learn about our great God!

Special thank you's go out to our many volunteers!! None of this would have happened without you!!!
